Akomeya Asian Bistro is hands down the very best Chinese food that I have had in Bluffton, SC. In the seven years I've been here, I have yet to find a decent Chinese food restaurant. The search is over for me, Akomeya does not disappoint. If you're looking for a great chinese food experience, you owe it to yourself to give this place a try. You'll be happy you did. I ordered General Tso from the lunch menu, which was reasonably priced for the portion you get. My wife had the Lo Mein from the full menu. Both items were delicious.
PFChang vibe without the PFChang price! From top to bottom and start to finish, this was a stunningly amazing dining experience!! On Friday 6 pm, I was seated within minutes after being greeted by the very professional staff. The ambiance and environment resembles high end restaurants you see in LA or NYC. It is relaxing, appropriate for dinner conversation. Their menu is short (to your advantage) and easy to understand. Once our order was placed, our food arrived in less than 15 minutes. Here is the best part, the food. They were aptly portioned and wonderful made. They did not skim on the meat, where most would have. The fried rice were perfectly seasoned and moist but not greasy. The sweet and sour chicken was plentiful, although the sauce could be mixed a bit better. Both dishes were nothing short of satisfying and superb and we were able to get two meals out of them. The next best part, the price...this was no more expensive than any other “usual” Chinese restaurants, but Akomeya Asian Bistrol is anything but usual. This is almost perfect. In an area where there isn’t a lot of Asian population, this is a pleasingly surprise find. 100% coming to try everything on the menu.
So... I had been searching for the best Hot and Sour Soup in the Bluffton and Hilton Head and I have finally found it! I have been to atleast 8 different restaurants and no other place does it like Akomeya. Beyond that... everything else I have tried here has been amazing! I had lunch this most recent time and got the Kung Pao Chicken and it was fabulous! I even had leftovers! The place is modern, super clean, has a friendly staff, and the food always is consistently spot on!! They had fresh flowers on the table, games on the screen and the time I went... just after normal lunch time... was not very busy. This is my go to Asain restaurant in Bluffton. I've referred others here as well and they have had great experiences too. They do a fantastic job!
Food is always great. Staff is very nice and friendly. Reasonable prices. And take out orders are always accurate!
Came in today and had lunch. Prices were reasonable and not overpriced. Portions were amazing. We each had enough for leftovers. Server was very helpful when ordering and modifying our orders. She wasn’t the most bubbly and extroverted server, but definitely did check up on us, served refills, and offered us anything we may have needed. Great place and VERY CLEAN!
We can always depend on getting a good meal and service here. They have a good section of sushi rolls and their meals are good, not WOW , but good. Dinner for 4 people was 105 plus tip. and there was plenty left over for next day's lunch. We have had the Gen Tso Chicken, the Poke Bowl, Moo Goo Gi Pan, Sesame Chicken, so many good things. They also have a great takeout service
We went for lunch and had the lunch specials, which were a great price at 8 to 13, and a good variety. When we sat down the waitress brought us some fried noodles and dipping sauce which were Very tasty. I had the fried tofu and vegetable with white rice and husband had the honey chicken with fried rice. Both were very good! Nice open seating inside with nice decor and lighting.
Akomeya has only been open for a few weeks and today we decided to go try it out. The place looks pretty cool inside and it has a nice warm atmosphere. The service was excellent. Eric was very nice and the food came out on time. My sesame chicken was hot and super delicious. We would definitely go back.
